17-year-old shot in RTD parking lot identified
The 17-year-old boy who was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon at a Greenwood Village RTD station has been identified.
The Arapahoe County Coroner’s identified the victim as Abraham Carranza Maravilla and said his death was a homicide.
He was shot and another person was assaulted in the parking lot of the Regional Transportation District Dayton station shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, the Greenwood Village Police Department said. The station is near Interstate 225 and South Boston Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. Another victim has injuries from an apparent assault, according to a news release. Witnesses saw multiple unknown suspects run from the scene, police said.
No arrests have been made, and police police said they’re actively working to identify the people responsible.
