2025 Oscar Nominated Shorts — (Special event, not rated). Three categories offered, animated, live action and documentary.

“Cleaner” — (Action, R, 96 minutes). After criminal activists take 300 hostages at a gala with the intent to commit mass murder as a statement to the world, an ex-soldier turned window cleaner tries to rescue the hostages.

“Las Tres Sisters” — (Comedy, not rated, 96 minutes). Three Mexican-American sisters travel through Mexico completing a traditional pilgrimage while trying to repair their relationship.

“The Monkey” — (Horror, R, 98 minutes). When they were young, twin brothers Bill and Hal found their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, causing a series of deaths that tore the family apart. Now, 25 years later, the monkey is on a new killing spree.

“The Unbreakable Boy” — (Drama, PG, 119 minutes). A boy with a rare brittle bone disease and autism transforms and unites everyone around him with his joyous, funny and life-affirming view of the world.

“A Complete Unknown” — (Biography, R, 141 minutes). Grade: A-, Scott Mervis. An unknown 19-year-old Bob Dylan arrived in New York in 1961 with his guitar and revolutionary talent, on his path to changing the course of American music.

“Anora” — (Comedy, R, 139 minutes). Once news reaches Russia that Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, marries the son of an oligarch, her parents travel to New York to get the marriage annulled.

“Babygirl” — (Thriller, R, 114 minutes). Grade: A, Katie Walsh. A high-powered CEO jeopardizes her career and family when she has an affair with her young intern.

“Becoming Led Zeppelin” — (Documentary, PG-13, 121 minutes). Tells about each band member’s musical influences and careers before they released the band’s first two albums.

“The Brutalist” — (Drama, not rated, 215 minutes). An architect and his wife’s lives are changed when they go to Europe to rebuild their legacy and meet a wealthy and mysterious client.

“Captain America: Brave New World” — (Action, PG-13, 118 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. When the new Captain America, Sam Wilson, becomes involved in an international incident, he must uncover the motive behind a nefarious global plan.

“Companion” — (Thriller, R, 97 minutes). While on a weekend trip at a lakeside estate, the death of the billionaire owner causes a chain of events for Iris and her friends.

“Conclave” — (Thriller, PG, 120 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. When Cardinal Lawrence is given the task to find a new pope after the unexpected death of the current one, he finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could shake the foundation of the Catholic Church.

“Den of Thieves 2: Pantera” — (Action, R, 144 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. Big Nick is in Europe searching for Donnie, who is involved with diamond thieves and the Panther mafia.

“Dog Man” — (Adventure, PG, 89 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. Half dog and half man, Dog Man pursues a feline supervillain named Petey the Cat.

“Dune: Part Two” — (Action, PG-13, 166 minutes). Grade: A+, Katie Walsh. Paul Atreides unites with Chani and the Fremen during his travels to seek revenge against those who destroyed his family.

“Emilia Pérez” — (Comedy, R, 132 minutes). A lawyer in Mexico is asked to help a cartel boss retired and disappear forever by becoming the woman he always wanted to be.

“Flight Risk” — (Action, R, 91 minutes). A pilot transporting an air marshal and a fugitive soon realizes that not everyone on board is who they seem to be.

“Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” (2004) — (Adventure, PG, 152 minutes). Sirius Black has escaped prison and is heading back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to find Harry Potter.

“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (2001) — (Adventure, PG, 152 minutes). Harry Potter enrolls in wizardry school and finds out the truth about himself and his family and learns about the evil of the magical world.

“Heart Eyes” — (Horror, R, 97 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. As done in the past, the Heart Eyes Killer will be stalking and murdering romantic couples again this Valentine’s Day.

“Love Hurts” — (Action, R, 83 minutes). After receiving a message from his past partner-in-crime that he left for dead, Marvin realizes he must confront his past and the history he thought he had buried forever.

“Moana 2” — (Adventure, PG, 100 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. After Moana receives an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, she journeys to the far seas of Oceania and finds herself on an adventure unlike any adventure she has ever been on before.

“Mufasa: The Lion King” — (Action, PG, 120 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. Mufasa, an orphaned cub, and Taka, an heir to a royal bloodline, join a group of misfits while searching for their destiny.

“Ne Zha 2” — (Animation, not rated, 143 minutes). After a catastrophe, the souls of Nezha and Aobing were saved but their bodies were shattered. Taiyi Zhenren is trying to find a way to use the seven-colored lotus to rebuild their bodies.

“Paddington in Peru” — (Adventure, PG, 101 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. While in Peru visiting his Aunt Lucy at the Home for Retired Bears, Paddington and the Brown family end up on a thrilling adventure after a mystery takes them on an unexpected journey.

“Parthenope” — (Drama, R, 137 minutes). Parthenope, who was born in the sea of Naples in 1950, searches for happiness and love during the summers of her youth.

“Sonic the Hedgehog 3” — (Action, PG, 110 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. Sonic, Knuckles and Tails must seek out an unlikely alliance to help defeat Shadow, a villain with powers stronger than any they have faced in the past.

“The Substance” — (Horror, R, 140 minutes). Grade: A, Katie Walsh. A celebrity who is past her prime decides to try a black-market drug that will temporarily make her a younger, better version of herself.

“Wicked” — (Fairy Tale, PG, 160 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. Elphaba’s and Glinda’s friendship reaches a crossroads after an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

“Wolf Man” — (Suspense, R, 103 minutes). Grade: B-, Michael Phillips. While at a remote farmhouse, a family is attacked by an unseen animal and during the night the father transforms into something unrecognizable.
