Denver weather: Sunshine returns warm temperatures Friday as February ends

Clear and sunny conditions will close out the work week on Friday around Denver as highs return to the 60s again.

Denverites can expect sunny skies today, with a high near 64, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Light and variable winds become east between 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight expect clear skies, with a low around 31. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming southwest after midnight.

Both weekend days will offer high temperatures in the 60s as well, but rain enters the mix on Sunday with a 20% chance.

Looking into next week, the first week of March, we see better chances for precipitation with rain possible on Monday and snow on Tuesday to start off the snowiest month on average here at 5,280′.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 65. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday: A 20% chance of rain after 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 62. Light and variable wind becoming north northwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 17 mph.

Monday: A 20% chance of rain after 11 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.

Tuesday: Snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Breezy.
