Deion Sanders, Colorado have two 2025 games moved to Fridays
Stephen Swofford/ Denver Gazette
Get ready for Friday night lights at Folsom Field to open the 2025 season.
For the second straight season, Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes will open the season not on a Saturday. Last year, it was on a Thursday night against North Dakota State. This year, it will be on Friday, Aug. 29, against Georgia Tech.
The Big 12 announced its Friday games for the 2025 season and CU will have two. In addition to the season opener, the Buffs’ Week 3 trip to Houston has been moved to Friday, Sept. 12.
They’re both a game of firsts for Coach Prime’s program. The Buffs and Yellow Jackets have never met on the football field, despite sharing the 1990 national championship, while the Cougars present another new Big 12 opponent for CU in its second season back in the league.
Kickoff times and TV information will be revealed later in the offseason.
