Motorcycle crash backs up Interstate 25 near Castle Pines

A motorcycle and car were both involved in a crash between Happy Canyon Road and Castle Pines Parkway at around 1:30 p.m.

Crews cleared off a crash involving a motorcycle and a car that closed northbound Interstate 25 near Castle Pines on Sunday.

A motorcycle and car were involved in a crash near the intersection of Happy Canyon Road and Castle Pines Parkway at around 1:30 p.m., according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and South Metro Fire Rescue on X.

One person was transported to the hospital, according to authorities.

The crash initially closed northbound I-25, causing major traffic delays past Happy Canyon Road, between Castle Pines and Castle Rock.

South Metro Fire Rescue officials announced at 2 p.m. the traffic scene is cleared, after authorities closed down the northbound side of the interstate to one lane.
