Stephen Curry’s UNDERRATED Golf Tour coming to Colorado | Golf Insider

An NBA legend is bringing his love of golf to Colorado Springs.

Warriors guard and four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry will kick off the fourth season of the UNDERRATED Golf Tour at Eisenhower Golf Course on June 23-25. Eisenhower Golf Course hosted the U.S. Girls Junior in 2023.

The tour is designed to advance equity, access and opportunity for underrepresented youth in junior golf. The tour is open for boys and girls ages 12-18.

“Each year, the UNDERRATED Golf Tour continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible for young golfers who may not have traditionally had access to the game,” Curry said in a press release.

The event in Colorado Springs will be the first tournament of the league’s fourth season. KPMG returns as the tour’s presenting sponsor and the four-stop series sends the top male and female tour players to the annual Curry Cup Championship hosted in September at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J.

The tour gives young golfers a chance to play courses they normally would not have access to. Earlier this year, it was announced that the top boy and girl winners of both London and Scotland UNDERRATED Golf European Tournaments will travel to the United States to compete in the Curry Cup this September.

“The Curry Cup is the ultimate goal for many of these golfers, and I’m excited to see how they’ll perform when everyone comes together in September for a final showdown,” said Curry. “This is about more than just winning—it’s about bringing fresh talent to the forefront, inspiring the next generation of golfers, and showcasing the diversity of the game. We want the UNDERRATED Golf Tour to be a stepping stone for these young players to take their game to new heights.”

Curry’s passion for golf is well known. He currently plays at a 3 handicap and won the 2023 American Century Championship with an eagle on the final hole. He finished tied for 35th place in 2024 — behind his father and former NBA player Dell Curry.

“All I know is, when I’m done with basketball, I’m going to reasonably invest as much into my golf as I can to see how good I can get,” Curry told Golf Digest in 2024.

The tour will also make stops at PGA West in California as well as TPC Sawgrass which host The Players Championship each year.

UNDERRATED is a lifestyle brand with a mission to empower underrated and underrepresented individuals all over the world started by Curry. The brand, which was established in 2019, draws on the NBA champion’s personal story as an underappreciated three-star athlete in high school who stood in the shadows of his peers.

U.S. Senior Open ticket sales going ‘extremely well’

With another USGA event on the calendar, fans in Colorado are ready to watch professional golf.

Tickets are still available for the U.S. Senior Open on June 26-29 at The Broadmoor, but they are starting to sell fast with under 100 days until the tournament.

“Tickets sales going extremely well,” U.S. Senior Open executive director Doug Habgood told The Denver Gazette. “We have the advantage of pacing sales off of previous events at The Broadmoor and previous U.S. Senior Opens.”

In the case of previous USGA and PGA events in Colorado, the U.S. Senior Open has had no problem attracting volunteers.

“We are full on our volunteers,” Habgood said. “We have 1,600 volunteers from 42 different states.”

Like the U.S. Open, the USGA is considering a course rotation for the U.S. Senior Open. While nothing is official, Habgood feels The Broadmoor will be considered for that rotation.

“I think it’s the whole package,” he said. “There are not many courses that have a five-star resort on the property. Guys can easily bring their families.”

Tickets can be purchased here. Kids under 17-years-old get in for free with a ticketed adult and military can get a 50% discount on tickets.

Wyndham Clark dealing with neck injury

It could be a little bit before Denver native Wyndham Clark is back on the golf course.

Clark was forced to withdraw from The Players Championship on Friday with a neck injury. That same injury forced him out of the TGL playoffs match on Tuesday. Clark has been a star for The Bay Golf Club, who lost to Atlanta Drive on Tuesday in the semifinals, during the league’s first season.

The Valor Christian graduate finished second in last year’s Players and had an up and down first round this year with five birdies and five bogeys. During the second round he was struggling at 4-over par on the front nine before withdrawing.

He is not in the field at this week’s Valspar Championship and the next time he is on the course could be The Masters on April 10. The situation seems fluid. Clark did play in last year’s Shell Houston Open, which is in a couple weeks.
