Movie rundown for the weekend through March 23: ‘Disney’s Snow White’ opens

“The Alto Knights” — (Drama, R, 120 minutes). The tale of two Italian Americans, Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, who were rivals for control of a prominent crime family during the mid-20th century.
“Ash” — (Horror, R, 95 minutes). A terrifying chain of events takes place after a woman wakes up on another planet and finds her space station crew killed.
“The Assessment” — (Drama, R, 109 minutes). A couple’s seven-day assessment for the right to have a child in a world where parenthood is controlled turns into a psychological nightmare.
“Disney’s Snow White” — (Musical, PG, 109 minutes). In this live-action adaptation of the 1937 film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” a princess and seven dwarfs try to save the kingdom from her stepmother, the evil queen.
“Eephus” — (Comedy, not rated, 98 minutes). On the day before a field’s demolition, an adult recreational baseball game goes into extra innings.
“Locked” — (Horror, R, 95 minutes). After breaking into a luxury SUV, a thief discovers he is part of a psychological game of horror.
“Magazine Dreams” — (Drama, R, 124 minutes). To gain recognition, an amateur bodybuilder must battle his inner demons and the limits of his body.
ONGOING
“The 4 Rascals (Bo Tu Bao Thu)” — (Comedy, not rated, 132 minutes). The 4 rascals try to solve a love triangle.
“The Actor” — (Drama, R). New York actor Paul Cole loses his memory after being beaten and left for dead in a small town in Ohio.
“Anora” — (Comedy, R, 139 minutes). Once news reaches Russia that Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, marries the son of an oligarch, her parents travel to New York to get the marriage annulled.
“Black Bag” — (Drama, R, 93 minutes). Grade: A, Katie Walsh. Intelligence agent Kathryn Woodhouse’s legendary agent husband must decide to be loyal to his country or his marriage after Kathryn is suspected of betraying her nation.
“Borderline” — (Comedy, R, 94 minutes). During the 1990s in Los Angeles, a bodyguard tries to protect a pop superstar and her athlete boyfriend.
“Captain America: Brave New World” — (Action, PG-13, 118 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. When the new Captain America, Sam Wilson, becomes involved in an international incident, he must uncover the motive behind a nefarious global plan.
“Court – State Vs. A Nobody” — (Drama, not rated, 155 minutes). While representing a teenager who was wrongly accused of a serious crime, a defense attorney takes on prejudice and corruption in the justice system.
“The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” — (Animation, PG, 91 minutes). Porky Pig and Daffy Duck are the only two who can help when Earth faces the threat of an alien invasion.
“Dog Man” — (Adventure, PG, 89 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. Half dog and half man, Dog Man pursues a feline supervillain named Petey the Cat.
“Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert” — (Music, not rated, 158 minutes). Featuring some of Zimmer’s live performances.
“Heart Eyes” — (Horror, R, 97 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. As done in the past, the Heart Eyes Killer will be stalking and murdering romantic couples again this Valentine’s Day.
“In the Lost Lands” — (Action, R, 101 minutes). Grade: C-, Katie Walsh. After being sent by the queen to the wilderness of the Lost Lands, a sorceress and her guide must outfight and outwit man and demon.
“Last Breath” — (Thriller, PG-13, 93 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. A true story about deep-sea divers who battle the elements to rescue a crew member trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface.
“The Last Supper” — (Drama, PG-13, 114 minutes). Reveals untold perspectives of those who walked beside Jesus Christ.
“Mickey 17” — (Action, R, 137 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. An expendable named Mickey 17 takes a dangerous journey to try to colonize an ice planet.
“The Monkey” — (Horror, R, 98 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. When they were young, twin brothers Bill and Hal found their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, causing a series of deaths that tore the family apart. Now, 25 years later, the monkey is on a new killing spree.
“Mufasa: The Lion King” — (Action, PG, 120 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. Mufasa, an orphaned cub, and Taka, an heir to a royal bloodline, join a group of misfits while searching for their destiny.
“Night of the Zoopocalypse” — (Animation, PG, 91 minutes). After a meteor unleashes a virus that turns zoo animals into zombies, a wolf and mountain lion team up with other survivors to try to rescue the zoo and stop the virus from spreading.
“No Other Land” — (Documentary, not rated, 92 minutes). Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist has an unlikely alliance with a journalist from the other side while he films his country of Masafer Yatta being destroyed by Israel’s occupation.
“Novocaine” — (Action, R, 110 minutes). Grade: C, Michael Phillips. A man who cannot feel physical pain uses his rare condition in the fight to rescue the girl of his dreams who was kidnapped.
“October 8” — (Documentary, not rated, 100 minutes). Examines antisemitism on college campuses, social media and in the streets of America after the Hamas-led attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
“One of Them Days” — (Comedy, R, 119 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. After roommates Alyssa and Dreux discover that Alyssa’s boyfriend has spent all the rent money, they have to go to extremes to keep from getting evicted.
“Opus” — (Drama, R, 103 minutes). Grade: C-, Katie Walsh. An iconic pop star shows up after being missing for decades.
“Rad (1986)” — (Action, PG, 159 minutes). A one-day screening of the BMX racing film in celebration of Rad Day.
“Rule Breakers” — (Drama, PG, 120 minutes). In a nation where educating girls is rebellion, a visionary woman sparks opposition and hope that may transform their nation forever.
