Denver weather: Spring-like Tuesday with ample sun and light breezes

Spring-like weather Tuesday across the city is forecast as the sun fully comes out and winds stay light.

Denver residents can expect sunny skies, with a high near 69. South winds to blow between 5 to 8 mph become north northeast in the afternoon.

“Gusty winds are expected through the day today, especially west of I-25 and across the northern plains, with gusts 35 to 50 mph,” the NWS said. “In these areas of breezier winds, near-critical fire weather conditions will be present in the afternoon due to mild, dry, and breezy conditions.”

Tonight expect partly cloudy skies, with a low around 43. Northeast winds to blow between 5 to 8 mph become south southwest after midnight.

Wednesday through Friday, temperatures will soar into the 70s each day, with the potential for a record on Thursday.

A cold front dipping southward on Friday night will bring cooler temperatures heading into the weekend. Rain showers are forecast to develop Saturday through Monday.
