Denver weather: Mostly cloudy Monday ahead of soggy week around the city
Winter storm warnings in effect for eastern Plains and Front Range mountains
Monday will be the warmest day of the week around Denver as spring rain and snow will make their way across the city on and off heading into April.
Denver residents can expect patchy fog before 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Otherwise, expect increasing clouds, with a high near 64. South southwest winds to blow between 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
“Fog will dissipate across the plains by mid morning,” the NWS said. “Snow will develop this afternoon in the mountains and become widespread tonight. Hazardous winter driving conditions are expected.”
Tonight there is a 20% chance of rain after 5 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. Southwest wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
Soggy conditions will be on and off Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of better chances for snow on Thursday and Friday.

Tuesday: A chance of rain before noon, then snow likely, possibly mixed with rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Breezy, with a southwest wind 9 to 16 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Wednesday: A slight chance of snow after noon, mixing with rain after 3 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. West southwest wind 7 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thursday: Snow likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 44. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Friday: A slight chance of snow before noon, then rain and snow likely. Partly sunny, with a high near 47.
