Movie rundown for the weekend through May 4: ‘Thunderbolts*’ opens
OPENING
“Bonjour Tristesse” — (Drama, R, 110 minutes). During a relaxing summer with her father and new boyfriend, 18-year-old Cécile’s world is turned upside down when her late mother’s mysterious friend shows up.
“HIT: The Third Case” — (Action, not rated, 150 minutes). A HIT officer from Visakhapatnam, India, named Arjun Sarkaar has his skills and mental strength tested when he is sent to Jammu and Kashmir to investigate a series of murders.
“Rosario” — (Horror, R, 88 minutes). During a severe snowstorm, Rosario is attacked by supernatural entities while she waits for an ambulance to pick up her grandmother’s body.
“The Surfer” — (Suspense, R, 103 minutes). A man is pushed to his breaking point when he takes his son to the beach where he surfed during his childhood and is angered and humiliated by a group of locals.
“Thunderbolts” — (Action, PG-13, 126 minutes). While on a dangerous mission, an unconventional team of antiheroes must confront their dark pasts when they get captured in a death trap.

“A Minecraft Movie” — (Action, PG, 101 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. Four misfits are pulled into a mysterious and bizarre cubic land.
“The Accountant 2” — (Action, R, 132 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. When an old acquaintance is killed, Wolf recruits his estranged brother to help him find the murderer.
“The Amateur” — (Action, PG-13, 123 minutes). Grade: C-, Katie Walsh. After his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack, a CIA cryptographer is determined to find those responsible for her death.
“The Ballad of Wallis Island” — (Comedy, PG-13, 99 minutes). After winning the lottery, Charles, who lives alone on a remote island, dreams of getting his favorite band, McGwyer Mortimer, back together by asking them to play a private concert at his home.
“Cheech and Chong’s Last Movie” — (Documentary, R, 120 minutes). Explores Cheech and Chong’s lives and their decades-long career of stand-up comedy, records and hit films.
“Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing” — (Anime, PG, 105 minutes). Ichika and Miku work together to create emotional connections through music.
“Drop” — (Drama, PG-13, 95 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. A widowed mother starts wondering if her charming date is the one sending threatening messages to her phone.
“The King of Kings” — (Animation, PG, 100 minutes). The story of Jesus Christ is seen through the eyes of a child and told by Charles Dickens.
“The Legend of Ochi” — (Adventure, PG, 96 minutes). Although a girl who lives in a remote village on the island of Carpathia has been taught to fear an animal species known as ochi, when she finds a wounded baby ochi that has been left behind, she goes on a quest to bring it home.
“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” 50th Anniversary — (Comedy, not rated, 96 minutes). King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table encounter many silly obstacles while searching for the Holy Grail.
“Neighborhood Watch” — (Crime, R, 92 minutes). After police refuse to believe him, a mentally ill man turns to his neighbor, a retired security guard, to help him find a woman he saw being abducted.
“On Swift Horses” — (Drama, R, 112 minutes). Grade: B, Moira MacDonald. When Muriel and her husband Lee’s lives are upended by the arrival of Lee’s brother, Muriel begins gambling on racehorses.
“Pride & Prejudice” 20th Anniversary (2025 re-release) — (Drama, PG, 128 minutes). Rich Mr. Darcy finds himself falling in love with Elizabeth, a woman beneath his class. However, both will need to overcome their own pride and prejudice if the relationship is to work.
“The Shrouds” — (Drama, R, 120 minutes). A grieving widower and businessman invents a machine used to communicate with the dead.
“Sinners” — (Horror, R, 137 minutes). Grade: A-, Katie Walsh. When twin brothers return to their hometown to leave their troubled lives behind and start over, they find that evil is waiting to welcome them back.
“Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith” 20th Anniversary (2025 re-release) — (Action, PG-13, 240 minutes). As the Clone Wars come to an end, Anakin Skywalker joins Chancellor Palpatine in a plot for galactic domination while Obi-Wan Kenobi pursues a new threat.
“Until Dawn” — (Drama, R, 117 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. A group of friends trapped in a time loop must survive until dawn to escape mysterious foes trying to kill them.
“Warfare” — (Action, R, 95 minutes minutes). Grade: A-, Adam Graham. The story of the chaos and brotherhood of war as told through the memory of a group of Navy SEALs who embarked on a dangerous mission in Ramadi, Iraq.
“The Woman in the Yard” — (Drama, PG-13, 85 minutes). A family wonders who a mysterious woman is after she shows up in their front yard to give them unsettling messages and chilling warnings.
