Denver weather: Friday’s high temperatures reach the mid-70s, with ample sunshine

If Friday’s weather is of interest to you with highs reaching into the middle 70s then you will love the weekend’s forecast, with highs soaring into the 80s.

Denver residents can expect mostly sunny skies Friday, with a high near 74, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Light and variable winds will become east northeast between 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

“A few showers and an isolated thunderstorm will be possible this afternoon across the higher elevations,” the NWS said.

Tonight it’ll be mostly clear, with a low around 47. East winds between 5 to 7 mph become southwest after midnight.

“Warm temperatures are expected to return through the weekend,” the NWS said. “While it will turn drier, scattered showers and a couple storms can be expected each day, mainly over the mountains.”

Next week starts off with warming conditions both Monday and Tuesday as high temperatures rise into the mid-80s under high pressure. Spring looks like it is finally here.
