Broncos promote Reed Burckhardt to assistant GM, announce scouting department hires

The Denver Broncos announced several team personnel changes Friday.

Reed Burkhardt has been promoted from director of player development to assistant general manager. Burkhardt has worked with Denver general manager George Paton for nearly a decade going back to their time with the Minnesota Vikings. Reed replaces Darren Mougey, now the New York Jets general manager.

The Broncos made two additions official to their scouting department.

Veteran talent evaluator Cam Williams has joined the team as co-director of player personnel, as previously reported by The Denver Gazette. Williams spent the last nine years with the New England Patriots, including the past three as director of college scouting.

Jordon Dizon returns to the Broncos as director of pro personnel after three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. Dizon previously served as a scout with the Broncos for eight years and is a former University of Colorado linebacker.

These members of the Broncos scouting staff also have new titles: Ish Seisay (Midwest area/international scout), Nick Schiralli (senior personnel executive), Dave Bratten (assistant director of college scouting), Scott DiStefano (senior college scout), Deon Randall (national scout) and Roya Burton (player personnel coordinator/scout).
