Colorado Mesa’s Cassidy Phelan named RMAC Academic Golfer of the Year | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

Colorado Mesa senior Cassidy Phelan was named the 2024-25 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Academic Athlete of the Year on Thursday.

Phelan, a native of Henderson, Nev., earned the honor for the first time with a 4.0 grade-point average in business administration. Previously, Phelan was named first team Academic All-RMAC in both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.

On the course, Phelan collected a second-team All-RMAC roster spot. Phelan finished the season with a top-400 national rank and a top-150 regional rank. The senior competed in 10 tournaments for the Mavericks, recording two top-ten finishes.
