Colorado’s No. 11-rated prospect, Ryan Ritter will start at shortstop for the Rockies Friday against the Mets after being named Pacific Coast League player of the month for May.

The Rockies made several moves before starting a weekend series at Coors Field against the New York Mets Friday. They recalled catcher Braxton Fulford and released veteran catcher Jacob Stallings. Stallings was hitting .143 on the season.
Shortstop Ezequiel Tovar was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain. This is Tovar’s second stint on the injured list this season.
