The Denver Police Department arrested a 21-year-old suspect in connection to the shooting of a woman and another person Saturday morning.
Eduardo Gonzalez was arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, according to a press release from the department.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of West 10th Avenue and Broadway — in the Capitol Hill neighborhood — around 2 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found a woman suffering from “multiple” gunshot wounds.
Another individual arrived at the hospital later with gunshot wounds from the same incident, according to police.
Both of the victims survived.
The investigation found that there was a verbal fight involving people who knew each other. The argument escalated and at least two guns were fired, according to police.
Detectives identified Gonzalez as a suspect and arrested him Saturday morning.
Gonzalez’s booking photo has not been released due to ongoing investigations, police said.
