Truck explosion near I-76, bystanders pull driver from the fire
A truck traveling on Interstate 76 crashed and exploded Sunday night, according to Adams County Fire Rescue.
At around 9:30 p.m., Adams County and Westminster fire crews responded to the vehicle fire near I-76 and Tennyson Street.
The truck was traveling at a high speed westbound on I-76 and struck a guardrail exiting the highway. The truck landed below the overpass on Tennyson Street and exploded according to an Adams County Fire Rescue Facebook post.
Bystanders stepped in, pulling the driver from the burning vehicle and began performing CPR. Following the incident, the driver was transported to a local hospital.
