The Regional Transportation District will temporarily change routes and boarding locations for several bus lines this weekend in light of Denver Pride parade and celebration taking place downtown.

On Saturday, with the Denver Pride 5K scheduled to take place from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on 14th Avenue between Lincoln Street and Cheeseman Park, riders will be able to access Routes 10 and 12 west of Corona Street, according to a news release from RTD.

Sunday will bring more significant changes as the parade, scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. in Cheeseman Park, will move north on Franklin Street, head west on 17th Avenue and finish at Lincoln Street, according to the release. Road closures will be in place from 7 a.m. until around noon.

Sixteen bus routes — 0, 1, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 15L, 16, 19, 44, 48, 52, 83L and the 16th Street FreeRide — will be impacted by the parade on Sunday, remaining in service with minor detours, RTD confirmed Thursday.

Those who are expecting to use the RTD services listed above should expect large crowds and rtd-denver.com for more details about the detours.
