Westminster Police Department officers made two arrests after conducting a traffic stop in which officers spotted drug paraphernalia in plain view.
In an X post on Wednesday, police said the recent traffic stop, near 84th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, led to the arrest of a 44-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman.
Officers discovered the passenger in the car had two active warrants, and an Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputy and K9 were called in to assist.
A K9 sniff of the vehicle alerted officers to the presence of narcotics, and officers searched the car.
In their search, officers found:
- Dozens of fentanyl pills
- Meth and other drugs
- Several license plates
- A notebook containing “hacking tips”
- Multiple bags of burglary tools, including bolt cutters, lockpicks, pry bars, gloves, masks, and more
Both the man and woman were arrested and booked into the Adams County Jail, according to police.
