Where the good news shines
The University of Northern Colorado is bringing some championship pedigree to its wrestling program.
On Tuesday, Teyon Ware was announced as the Bears’ new head wrestling coach. Ware previously worked at the University of Oklahoma as an assistant.
He is two-time NCAA Champion, four-time All-American and respected coach with over a decade of Division I experience.
Ware, who starred at Oklahoma, spent eight years as an assistant at Wyoming where he guided 33 Cowboys to the NCAA Championship. In 2023-24 while at Oklahoma, he helped lead the Sooners to their best finish at the NCAAs.
