Where the good news shines

University of Colorado Colorado Springs senior Kit Wigington, Regis University catcher Adam Paniagua and Regis infielder Clay Conn were recognized as Academic All-Americans by the College Sports Communicators this week.

Paniagua and Wigington earned second team Academic All-America recognition, while Conn was a third-team honoree. It was the first Academic All-America nod for each of the three.

Paniagua, a senior catcher, posted a 3.65 grade-point average as an undergraduate and a 3.70 GPA as a graduate student while majoring in Project Leadership & Management at Regis.

Wigington, a senior designated hitter posted a 3.73 GPA as a mechanical engineering major at UCCS.

Conn, a senior infielder, was also a first team academic All-RMAC selection with a 3.93 GPA as a software engineering major at Regis.
