Jury selection is set to begin Thursday in the trial of a former Aurora dentist accused of killing his wife.

James Craig is charged with the murder of his wife, Angela. Craig is accused of fatally poisoning her with potassium cyanide and Visine eye drops.

Angela Craig died March 1, 2023, after ingesting lethal doses of cyanide and tetrahydrozoline, an ingredient commonly found in Visine, according to an autopsy report from the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office. The report also lists arsenic poisoning as a “significant condition” related to her death.

Court documents reveal that Craig allegedly used his office computer to research and purchase “undetectable poisons” weeks before Angela’s death. Craig faces five other charges: Two counts of soliciting others to tamper with evidence, two counts of soliciting others to commit perjury, and one count of soliciting murder based on allegations that he tried to arrange multiple killings from his jail cell.

The trial is expected to last three weeks.
