A crash involving a shuttle bus killed at least one person and seriously injured several others late Saturday night near Denver International Airport.
At around 11:30 p.m., a pickup truck and shuttle bus collided at the intersection of Tower Road and East 81st Avenue, according to the Commerce City Police Department.
The area is a few miles west of DIA and within Commerce City limits.
A person inside the shuttle bus died, while around nine or 10 others were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to a Commerce City police spokesperson.
An employee of a nearby convenience store told Denver Gazette news partner 9NEWS that at least three people were ejected from the shuttle bus in the crash.
The condition of the pickup truck driver is unclear. Also unclear is how the crash unfolded.
Investigators suspect alcohol was not a factor, but that speed is a possibility.
The shuttle bus had decals for Nu Car Rentals, located off of East 81st Avenue, according to 9NEWS.
Commerce City police investigators are working to reconstruct the accident scene to determine what led to the crash.
