Teen killed in Arapahoe County house party shooting identified

Silverio Suniga

Arapahoe Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking more witnesses to come forward after a teenager was killed at a house party Saturday.

On July 12, 2025, just before midnight, deputies responded to a call of shots fired at a home in the 18900 block of East Crestridge Circle.

When they arrived, deputies found a 19-year-old man lying on the driveway with gunshot wounds to his chest.

The 19-year-old victim was identified as Silverio Xauier Suniga, according to the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

Deputies began to perform life-savings efforts, but South Metro Fire Rescue paramedics pronounced Sungia deceased at the scene.

He died of his gunshot injuries, and his death is classified as a homicide, the coroner’s office confirmed Tuesday.

Since Sungia’s death, his family has posted a GoFundMe to raise money for his funeral.

“He was our super hero, our comedian, our comforter, our peacemaker. Silver was compassionate, loving, caring. There is so much more we can say this is just the essence of who Silver was to us,” Linda Bruch, Suniga’s grandmother, said in the post.

A 17-year-old male suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting and is facing first-degree murder charges. Since he’s a juvenile, police did not release his identity. If he’s charged as an adult, he’ll be named publicly.

Investigators are still looking for at least one more teenage suspect from the party including a male, 17-or-18 years old, heavy set, 5’10” to 6’ tall, weighing 220 lbs. with blonde hair.

Officials are asking anyone who was at the party or may have information about the shooting to call the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Tipline at 720-874-8477. Callers may remain anonymous.
