Man on the run after armed robbery in Lyons on Friday

A man is on the run after robbing cash from a convenience store in Lyons on Friday evening.
The suspect is described by witnesses as a white man in his early 20s, according to a news release from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. He was wearing dark-colored pants, a black and white hoodie with angel wings on the back and had a blue bandana covering his face.
The man was also armed with a black “1911 style” handgun, police said.
The man allegedly robbed a Circle K convenience store in Lyons at around 7:30 p.m. Friday, fleeing with the cash from the register before authorities arrived, police said.
Nobody was injured during the incident, according to the release.
Authorities from three departments — the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the Longmont Police Department and the Erie Police Department — responded to the scene and tried to find the man using K-9 units and drones, but were unsuccessful, police said.
