ENGLEWOOD — Dre Greenlaw is healthy and in attendance at Broncos training camp.
The veteran inside linebacker, recovering from a strained quadriceps muscle, joined teammates Wednesday for light practice with no pads at Broncos Park.
“He looked good,” coach Sean Payton said.
Greenlaw headlined a nearly 100% healthy roster during the acclimation period, with several formerly injured players back in the fold. Inside linebacker Alex Singleton (torn ACL), wide receiver Devaughn Vele (leg) and safety P.J. Locke (back) were also at practice.
One exception: wide receiver A.T. Perry is on the physically unable to perform list (PUP) with an undisclosed injury.

Allen snap count
Defensive end Zach Allen, fresh off a second-team All-Pro season, might see the field a bit less in 2025.
Allen played 89% of all defensive snaps last year. On Wednesday, Payton suggested that percentage was too high.
“We’ve got to be mindful of the snaps. I would say he probably played a few too many snaps, so we got to be (careful), especially at that position,” Payton said. “He’s an important part of what we do. … A strength of (Allen’s) is his stamina and staying power and his ability to (compete) play in and play out. I think it’s easy to monitor.”

Practice plan
The Broncos lead the NFL in percentage of returning players with 86% (per overthecap.com). But there is still plenty of work ahead for everyone in training camp.
“The installation, I just mentioned to them, is a process,” Payton said Wednesday after practice. “We’re going to have four straight days of installation, and then when the pads come on, we’ll be back with the same installation. It’s retaining (information), getting a chance to repeat and putting the mistakes behind you.”
Entering training camp, Broncos try to temper expectations at least a little bit
Briefly
Payton discussed the progress of rookie punter Jeremy Crawshaw. Payton said: “It’s kind of like right now the fireworks. There are some booms, and then every once in a while, there’s one of those we have to work on — the ones that just go right. We have to get those handled. He certainly has the leg talent.” … Wide receiver Marvin Mims returns after a career-best season. He logged 39 catches for 503 yards and six receiving touchdowns. Payton said Mims is “certainly good with it in his hands.” … The Broncos are embracing high expectations in 2025. Payton said: “When the whole thing started two years ago, this is kind of where we were hoping to be going into year three, and it’s exciting.”
