Get ready for another scorcher.

The National Weather Service in Boulder said temperatures on Monday are expected to reach 99 degrees at Denver International Airport, the city’s official weather monitoring location.

That’s almost 10 degrees hotter than the seasonal average for July 28 in Denver. If the temperature reaches triple digits, it would tie the all-time record of 100 degrees set in 2021, according to historical weather service data.

Meteorologists warn there are “major” heat risks across the Denver metro area on Monday affecting anyone without a good way of cooling or hydrating and will impact “health systems and industries.”

Air quality, however, is expected to be in the good-to-moderate range on Monday in Denver, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said, due to “deep mixing of the atmosphere with gusty, erratic winds.”

Winds could gust as high as 16 mph in Denver on Monday, the weather service said.

Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with a low around 66 degree and wind gusts up to 16 mph.
