The Denver Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in a homicide investigation.

The incident occurred on July 13 at about 10 p.m. near Broadway and Colfax Avenue.

Sixteen days later, on July 29, 2025, the victim in the assault died from his injuries, according to the police.

Authorities not give any additional details about the nature or circumstance of the assault.

The suspect, a Black male, was observed carrying a black and gray backpack with a yellow logo and zipper tabs, according to the police.

Authorities asked anyone with information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and earn a reward of up to $2,000, authorities said.
