Two juveniles arrested in connection with Aurora deadly robbery shooting

The Aurora Police Department’s Major Crime Homicide Unit announced the arrest of a 14-year-old and 16-year-old in connection with a robbery shooting that left one man dead.

The July 21 shooting occurred just before 10 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 190 block of Kenton Street.

Police said that the victim, who did not live at the complex, and a second man met the suspects the parking lot when the alleged robbery took place and the victim was shot.

The man was taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries, where he later died.

The second man with the victim at the time of the shooting was not injured and ran from the scene when shots were fired. He returned once officers arrived, according to APD.

As the suspects are minors, police did not provide identifications. 

Circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation and investigators are asking anyone with information to please submit tips to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.
