Woman dies in Colfax Avenue hit-and-run, Aurora police say

Aurora police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a woman along Colfax Avenue at Interstate 225 on Sunday night.
At around 9:46 p.m., a motorist hit a woman on the westbound side of East Colfax Avenue at the northbound I-225 onramp, according to an Aurora Police Department news release.
Police said the woman died upon arrival of officers on the scene.
The driver did not remain on-scene, and authorities are continuing their search Monday. There is no further suspect information.
The investigation into what led to the woman’s death along Colfax on Sunday night remains active and ongoing.
