The Cherry Cricket coming to a north suburb
Famous local burger joint The Cherry Cricket will open its fourth location at the end of this month in another suburb — this time in Broomfield.
The new Cherry Cricket will open Aug. 25 by the Broomfield Town Center at 1280 E 1st Ave., the company announced. It’ll take over the former Old Chicago restaurant building.
The space will have about 8,500-square-feet of restaurant space with a patio and “Burger Garden” that seats about 325 customers.
The Cherry Cricket is celebrating its 80th anniversary alongside the new restaurant, its most northern location in the Denver metro region yet.
“We searched extensively across the Denver metro area for the ideal location for our next Cherry Cricket, and we fell in love with Broomfield’s strong sense of community,” said Alex Bunn, vice president of growth for Breckenridge-Wynkoop, LLC, in a news release.
The Cherry Cricket also has locations in Denver’s Cherry Creek and Ballpark neighborhoods and in Littleton.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the Cherry Cricket to Broomfield,” said Mayor Guyleen Castriotta in the announcement. “This beloved Colorado institution has earned its legendary status by focusing on what truly matters – delicious burgers, expertly crafted local brews, and an unwavering commitment to community.”

Little Man Ice Cream is coming to Cherry Creek
Little Man Ice Cream, the business under the giant milk can in the Lower Highlands, is coming to one of the most popular shopping destinations in Denver.
The ice cream shop will open its 11th location in Cherry Creek on Friday.
It’ll be part of a new development inspired by a gas station called Town Pump Provisions from Dana Monfort that will also include an original sandwich shop called Town Pump Bodega and a restaurant called Town Pump Eatery.
Little Man’s new Cherry Creek location plans to resemble a vintage delivery truck from the 1950s to match the roadside aesthetic, the ice cream shop said. The business is also reviving its ice cream sandwiches
“When Dana shared her vision for a vibrant, inviting courtyard that would adjoin all three concepts and serve as a true community space, we immediately knew it aligned with our mission of utilizing ice cream as a vehicle for bringing people together,” said Paul Tamburello, founder of Little Man Ice Cream, in the announcement.

Uncle Tim’s Cocktails will open its own bar
A familiar name seen across several Denver markets like South Pearl and City Park Farmer’s Markets or the festivals on South Gaylord Street is setting up its first permanent location.
The team behind Uncle Tim’s Cocktails, which bottles ready-to-drink cocktails in Denver, will soon open a bar on South Gaylord Street called Broderick. It will open Aug. 15.
“Broderick adds to the inherent charm of South Gaylord, bringing the community together in a way that’s both approachable and elevated to connect over a before- or after-dinner drink,” said Broderick & Co. co-founder Tim Felkner, in a news release.
The cocktails seen at the markets will be featured at the location on 1080 S. Gaylord Street, which used to be Bottle Shop 33. Broderick describes itself as “a cocktail lounge with the charm of a neighborhood café” featuring antique decor and art pieces.
“We’ve always been intentional about creating experiences centered around food and drink, whether in our own backyard or through our line of bottled cocktails, and Broderick takes that experience to the next level,” Felkner said.
