Inside, 12 thoughtfully designed galleries trace the journeys of athletes from their earliest training through Olympic and Paralympic competitions and beyond. The exhibits include original medals, torches, uniforms and equipment, as well as immersive digital interactives that allow visitors to engage with the intensity of competition—from downhill skiing and archery to racing an athlete down a 30-meter track. These features are carefully crafted to be welcoming and accessible to all guests.

The building itself reflects the energy and motion of athletic performance. Inspired by the movement of a discus thrower, its flowing, spiraling form is wrapped in nearly 9,000 individually cut aluminum panels. This bold architecture makes the Museum a distinctive landmark in the heart of Olympic City USA and a visual symbol of the drive and momentum shared by athletes.

The Museum’s collection tells the story of the Olympic and Paralympic Games from their modern beginnings to today. Among its treasures are iconic pieces like the scoreboard from the 1980 “Miracle on Ice,” memorabilia from record-breaking athlete Al Oerter, and the gear worn by Paralympian Tatyana McFadden during her medal-winning performances. Among the newest additions is a Rubik’s Cube signed by 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Stephen Nedoroscik. While visiting the Museum following the Paris Games, Nedoroscik solved and signed the Cube—an homage to the tool that became a signature part of his mental warm-up during competition. Through video narratives and personal stories, the Museum highlights the human grit and determination behind every victory.
