Hot spring resort offers creekside pools, 700-foot slides, and more in Colorado mountain town

Mount Princeton Hot Springs

With a duo of 700-foot-long water slides, creekside soaking pools, and on-site lodging, Buena Vista-area Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort makes for the perfect summer getaway. Located at 8,250 feet of elevation in Nathrop, there’s no shortage of mountain views at this spot, either.

Mount Princeton Hot Springs made headlines a couple years ago thanks to its 400-foot-long slide, but now, the slide offerings are even bigger and better.

Those interested have two options – an open air water slide and an enclosed water slide, both stretching for more than two football fields in length and dropping about 45 feet. With the slides open through September 7 this year, this attraction is fun for all ages as long as a slider is at least 48 inches tall.

The fun at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort doesn’t stop there either, with many other amenities available year-round.

Guests will find a variety of soaking options, from picturesque creekside pools to an infinity pool with a mountain view to quieter adult-focused areas.

A top-notch spa is also found at the resort, offering a relaxing and rejuvenating add-on experience. Meanwhile, on-site lodging options come with a day pass to the hot springs on the day of check-in and check-out, and guests can choose between creekside suites, cabins, hillside or cliffside rooms, or a stay at the lodge.

Lodging starts at $245 including a lot of amenities like complimentary mountain bike rentals, daily fitness classes, and exclusive guest-only access during certain times. Those popping by without staying the night can purchase day passes to the hot spring pools priced at $40 for weekday visits and $45 on the weekends.
