Where the good news shines

The University of Colorado women’s soccer team is putting up some impressive numbers.

The Buffs routed UNC Greensboro 8-0 on Sunday in Boulder. The eight goals are the most the Buffs have scored in the last 21 seasons. Sunday’s win followed a 7-1 easy win over Fordham earlier in the week.

Hope Leyba, who had a hat trick against Fordham, scored two more goals in the victory. Jace Holley also scored two goals.

The Buffs have won three straight matches since tying No. 12 Michigan State 10 days ago. Coloado is 4-0-1 on the season and will continue its homestand on Thursday against New Mexico.
