Man suspected of intentionally running over cyclist at-large, considered “armed and dangerous”

According to an August 25 report from the Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office, authorities are hunting for David McWilliams, 46, as a suspect in an attempted homicide case. McWilliams is suspected of intentionally running over a bicyclist with his truck in the area of 79th Avenue and Quebec Street on May 10 at about 5:57 a.m.

The bicyclist who was struck survived, but sustained multiple severe injuries.

Authorities have described McWilliams as 250 pounds and six-foot-six, considered to be “armed and dangerous.”

The public should not attempt to contact McWilliams if he is spotted.

The Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office has requested that anyone who has information about McWilliams’ whereabouts call 720-913-7867.

All suspects are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
