Denver a ‘top ranking’ spot for Labor Day – 7 fun things to do in the Mile High City this weekend

Denver has ranked among the best travel destinations for Labor Day Weekend, according to a study from AAA Travel.
Denver took eighth place on AAA Travel’s list of the top Labor Day weekend destinations in the US.
Here’s a look at some things to do in the Mile High City on Labor Day weekend:
1. Elitch Gardens Fireworks
Date: Aug. 31
Enjoy a fireworks show at Elitch Gardens at 9:15 p.m.
2. Denver Food + Wine Festival
Date: Sept. 3-6
Technically not on Labor Day Weekend, but during the days to follow – check out the best of Colorado’s “culinary community, the finest wines and spirits, educational tasting seminars, and the signature Grand Tasting.”
3. Check out a concert or music event
Date: Aug. 27, Aug. 28
Enjoy The Fray at Mission Ballroom or Sierra Ferrell at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Check out the venue’s full schedule here.
4. Enjoy a Rockies game at Coors Field
Date: Aug. 29 – Sept. 3
The Colorado Rockies will take on the Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants over Labor Day Weekend.
