Something special for rodeo fans, the Westernaires Wild West Show in Kiowa at Messer Event Center, 33955 County Road 37. Trick riding and roping, Old West action, liberty riding and dressage. Memorial Park in Colorado Springs will be filled with color in the skies as 70 hot air balloons take off during the three-day Labor Day Lift Off in Memorial Park in this 49-year event. Two waves of 35 balloons will take off over all parts of the city with a map for viewers in vantage points. At 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 20-30 tethered balloons will be inflated as folks get close up for the Balloon Glo.
