Trump still ‘giving serious thought’ to revoking citizenship for Rosie O’Donnell

President Donald Trump renewed his suggestion to revoke comedian Rosie O’Donnell’s U.S. citizenship in a Truth Social post on Wednesday.

“As previously mentioned, we are giving serious thought to taking away Rosie O’Donnell’s Citizenship,” Trump wrote alongside an altered photo of O’Donnell.

Trump continued, “She is not a Great American and is, in my opinion, incapable of being so!”

O’Donnell joined a growing number of celebrities who have relocated internationally following Trump’s win. The comedian-turned-television producer moved to Ireland, where she is pursuing citizenship, citing Irish ancestry and claiming all her grandparents are Irish. O’Donnell has been very vocal about her move, prompting jokes from the Trump administration. She said she does not plan to return to the United States until it’s “safe.”

“[B]anishing me again? logan roy would be proud. im the distraction – EPSTEIN SURVIVORS are the reckoning and your gold lamé throne is melting. only rosie o’donnell,” O’Donnell responded to Trump’s post on Instagram.

“[D]onnie – stripping my citizenship? cute – the capital is shaking because Epstein survivors are speaking — I volunteer as tribute… to remind you how terrified you are,” she said in another post.

O’Donnell also added to her Instagram story posts that read “8647” and “Just a reminder a hooker and a con man are running America again.”

Talk show host Don Lemon also responded to the spat. In response to Trump’s Truth Social post, he recorded a video of himself packing a bag, which O’Donnell shared on her Instagram story.

TRUMP’S TIKTOK DEAL ‘HOSTAGE’ TO CHINA TRADE TALKS AS DEADLINE LOOMS

“Trump threatens Rosie O’Donnell with revoking her citizenship while circulating a doctored image of her!” Lemon wrote.

Trump would face legal hurdles if he attempted to revoke O’Donnell’s citizenship. Under the 14th Amendment, the president does not have the authority to unilaterally strip a person’s citizenship.
