After a cold front pushed through overnight, Friday’s high temperatures won’t make it much higher than the low 70s around metro Denver.
Denver residents can expect partly sunny skies today, with a high near 72, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. East winds will blow between 5 to 8 mph, with gusts as high as 17 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 50. North northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 16 mph.
Slight chances of rain showers both Saturday and Sunday are forecast as temperatures rebound back into the upper 70s and low 80s.
Next week the sunshine returns as do warmer temperatures still, with highs each day in the middle- to upper-80s. Doubtful any new record high temperatures will be recorded, but it will still be warm as summer-like conditions continue into the second week of September.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88.
