Veteran RB Jaleel McLaughlin inactive for Broncos in opener vs. Titans

Broncos

For the first time in his three-year Broncos career, running back Jaleel McLaughlin was a healthy scratch.

McLaughlin was inactive for Sunday’s opener against the Tennessee Titans at Empower Field at Mile High. That left Denver’s three running backs in the 20-12 win being J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey and Tyler Badie.

Also inactive for the Broncos were linebacker Dre Greenlaw (quad), tight end Nate Adkins (ankle), outside linebacker Que Robinson, defensive end Sai’vion Jones, tackle Frank Crum. and quarterback Sam Ehlinger. Ehlinger dressed out as the emergency third quarterback.

McLaughlin played in 33 of Denver’s 34 regular-season games the past two seasons, missing one in 2024 due to injury.

Inactive for the Titans were cornerbacks Jalyn Armour-Davis and Samuel Womack III, safety Kevin Winston Jr., guard Jackson Slater, tackle Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson and defensive linemen Shy Tutle and C.J. Ravenell.
