I-25 closures in south metro Denver begin Sunday night
A series of overnight ramp closures along Interstate 25 in Douglas County are set to begin Sunday night.
The closures are a result of a new pedestrian bridge under construction over I-25.
Necessary work this week includes barrier installation and lane restriping between C-470 and Ridgegate Parkway, according to Colorado Department of Transportation officials.
Officials said lane widths will be reduced to 11 feet for the next several months.
Delays are expected between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. between Sunday and Tuesday.
The area cuts through Lone Tree and its City Center area. All closures only occur overnight and roads plan to reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning.
Sunday
Northbound I-25 off-ramp to Lincoln Avenue closes at 8 p.m.
Motorists are suggested to detour off East County Line Road and enter southbound I-25 back to the Lincoln Avenue exit.
Westbound Ridgegate Parkway on-ramp to northbound I-25 closes at 10 p.m.

Motorists can detour from South Peoria Street north to Lincoln Avenue and onto northbound I-25.
Monday
Lincoln Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-25 closes at 6 p.m., while eastbound Lincoln Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-25 closes at 8 p.m.
Transportation officials encourage motorists to detour along Lincoln Avenue east to South Peoria Street, before heading south to Ridgegate Parkway west to the I-25 southbound ramp.
Tuesday
Minimal impacts are expected Tuesday night as the main type of work involves median barrier reconstruction.
There are no scheduled ramp closures, but lane shifts and reduced speeds are still enforced.
“Plan ahead, follow posted detours, and drive with caution through the construction zone,” officials said.
