Pedestrian dies in crash near Sloan Lake, Denver police say

A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on the west side of Denver on Saturday night.
The Denver Police Department reported the crash on social media platform X at 10:46 p.m. Officials said the crash happened near W. 17th Avenue and N. Sheridan Blvd., located on the southwest corner of Sloan Lake.
Denver police said the driver remained at the scene of the crash.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead by on-scene authorities.
The crash remains under Denver police investigation.
No details were immediately released on what led to the crash.
The pedestrian’s identity will be released by the Denver Medical Examiner’s Office.
