Denver man arrested on sex assault charges after allegedly meeting with Pueblo teenager

A man was arrested by Pueblo County Sheriff’s deputies Monday for sex assault after meeting with a 16-year-old, according to a news release by the sheriff’s office.

Around 3:30 a.m. Monday, deputies were patrolling Pueblo West when they found two vehicles with four total occupants parked after public hours at Liberty Point.

The release stated “in further investigating,” deputies learned one of the occupants, a 16-year-old female from Pueblo, “had met a man” the previous night. They originally met on Snapchat.

On Sunday, Alfredo Antonio-Diego, 30, of Denver, allegedly met the teenager and drove to several locations before going to an apartment to have sex, according to the release. Afterward, Antonio-Diego allegedly drove to Liberty Point, “where the teen, who was visibly intoxicated, admitted to drinking alcohol” with him.

Deputies tried to question Antonio-Diego but he refused to speak, the release stated. He had previously been arrested twice for driving under the influence.

He was charged with:

  • Felony sexual assault
  • Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
  • Driving under the influence
  • Driving without insurance
