Cherry Creek State Park closes at night due to vandalism

Park rangers at Cherry Creek State Park have announced that the park will be closed overnight after an increase in law enforcement concerns and vandalism.

In a Facebook post, park rangers said that it will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and that the only visitors allowed in at that time are campers. Campers will be required to show their reservations to get in.

“Thank you for your understanding,” the post reads. “The safety of our visitors and community is our number one priority.”

The parks asks that any questions or concerns be emailed to DNR_cherrycreek.park@state.co.us.
