Can Broncos find their offensive groove on MNF? | The Starting Lineup

The Starting Lineup
Turn on the game!
Three must-see events this week:
- Ryder Cup, singles (10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, NBC) – The United States always plays well on the final day, but will they be too far behind for it to even matter at Bethpage Black?
- Cincinnati at Denver (6:15 p.m. Monday, ABC) – This looked like a marquee matchup before the injury to Bengals QB Joe Burrow. Now, the Broncos need a good showing against the bad Bengals defense.
- Minnesota vs. Denver at San Diego, preseason (7 p.m. Friday, Altitude) – The Nuggets, who will have a couple of days of training camp before this game, have a new-look roster and plenty of expectations.
Numbers game
1 – team (2001 New England Patriots) has won the Super Bowl after starting the season 1-3. The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, who face each other Sunday, will have that record after the game.
Box office
The secondary ticket market still has seats for Monday night’s Broncos-Bengals matchup SeatGeek has several pairs of tickets running around $200 a piece. It’s a steep price to see Bo Nix try to hit a deep pass.
On this day
Sept. 28, 2018 – Bud Black’s Rockies clinched their second straight postseason berth with a 5-2 win at Coors Field over the Nationals. It is the last time Colorado has made the MLB playoffs.
They said it
“Simply put, Jokic is at the peak of his basketball powers right now and should be regarded as an MVP favorite as long as he stays at this level.”
