Fall has arrived – and what better way to celebrate the crisp air and golden leaves than by visiting a pumpkin patch?

Whether you’re looking for the perfect pumpkin to create a jack-o’-lantern, to sip some cider on a cool fall day, or looking to explore hay mazes and petting zoos, pumpkin patches area a classic fall tradition worthy of attention.

From farms with incredible mountain views to festive fall playgrounds, Colorado is home to plenty of excellent pumpkin patches to explore as a crisp chill spreads across the state.

Here are 10 phenomenal pumpkin patches found around Colorado:

  1. Denver Botanic Gardens – Chatfield Farms (Littleton)

The Denver Botanic Gardens’ Chatfield Farms location hosts a yearly pumpkin festival, where guests can enjoy the ten-acre pumpkin patch, as well as the corn maze and entertainment, live music, magic shows, an antique tractor exhibit, wagon rides, and photo booths.

2. Anderson Farms (Erie)

Visitors can enjoy a wagon ride to Anderson Farms’ pumpkin patch, which is over 40 acres and includes 70 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds. The last wagon leaves the barnyard daily at 5:30 p.m. Pumpkins are available starting on Sept. 24. Anderson Farms also has wheelchair accessible wagons available.

3. Diana’s Pumpkin Patch (Cañon City)

Diana’s Pumpkin Patch’s Jack-O’-Lanterns are actually a specific variety that only they grow in Southern Colorado. Guests can choose their perfect Jack-O’-Lantern or pick from the variety of Heirloom and specialty pumpkins.

4. Colorado Kids Ranch (Monument)

As well as exploring the 40 acre farm, Colorado Kids Ranch provides plenty of fun activities. Guests can enjoy roller slides, hayrides, and a Western-themed town by the small animals, castle laser tag, and much more.

5. Wishing Star Farm (Calhan)

Guests can take part in plenty of fun activities at Wishing Star Farm, including a petting zoo, hay ride, barrel train ride, jumping pillow, hay slide, hay pyramid, tire swings, and much more.

6. Long Neck Pumpkin Farm (Colorado Springs)

Long Neck Pumpkin Farm includes pumpkins, fall-themed photo opportunities, hayrides, a hay slide, duck races, farm animals, tractor swings, and much more.

7. Maize in the City (Thornton)

This farmer-owned pumpkin patch offers the perfect opportunity to pick your perfect pumpkin, gourd, and other fall decor to prepare for the fall season.

8. Fritzler Farm Park (LaSalle)

Guests can explore the pumpkin patch, pedal go-karts, barrel train, and pumpkin cannons, among other exciting attractions at Fritzler Farm Parks’ annual fall festival.

9. Rock Creek Farm (Broomfield)

Pick your own pumpkins at one of Northern Colorado’s oldest pumpkin patches. Visitors can also enjoy the farm’s hay bale maze, farm animals, and more fun activities.

10. Mazzotti Farms (Hudson)

As well as the “u-pick pumpkin patch,” visitors of Mazzotti Farms can enjoy the petting zoo and fall and agriculture themed games.
