Butterfly Pavilion offers guests a chance to get up close and personal with spiders

The Broomfield nature center is offering more chances to conquer your arachnophobia just in time for spooky season

No Barriers. No glass. Just you and the spiders.

Spiders are taking over Westminster, Colorado, but it won’t be like the annual tarantula migration or the movie Arachnophobia.

Between Sept. 26, and Oct. 31 brave guests brave will be able to see a diverse selection of spider species at the Butterfly Pavilion for their new exhibit Spiders Around the World.

Visitors will be able to see and experience spiders from Colorado, the Americas, Asia, Africa, Australia and Oceania to learn how spiders support biodiversity, protect crops and maintain balance across the natural world.

According to the Butterfly Pavilion, “Spider Zone is at the heart of the spider takeover, with a breathtaking walk-through habitat filled with hundreds of orb-weaving spiders spinning intricate webs all around visitors with ‘No glass and No barriers.’

The Butterfly Pavilion wants visitors to be ready to turn fear into fascination while encountering bold tarantulas to delicate orb weavers while uncovering the wonder, importance and beauty of spiders from every corner of the globe.

The Spiders Around the World Exhibition will only be at the Butterfly Pavilion for a limited time, offering a once in a lifetime chance to get up close and personal, while taming their fears of these unique creeping weavers.

The Butterfly Pavilion is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last admission at 4:15 p.m.
