Colorado fest that attracts 100,000-plus just got canceled for 2026 after 33 years

Country music fans in Colorado will likely be disappointed to learn that Country Jam has been canceled for 2026. The event takes place about 20 miles northwest of Grand Junction, starting in 1992 and said to attract more than 100,000 attendees in recent years.

“Country Jam Colorado will be pausing in 2026 as we take time to re-evaluate and plan for the future,” reads a statement from organizers. “We’re grateful to all the fans, artists, partners, and the entire Colorado community and beyond who have supported the festival and made it such a special event year after year.”

In its 33rd year this past June, the festival spanned three days and featured big names in the genre like Eric Church, Bailey Zimmerman, and Cody Johnson.

The announcement from event organizers did not provide further reasoning behind the ‘pause.’
