Sheriff’s office investigating “suspicious person” near Guanella Pass

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office announced it is investigating reports of a suspicious person near Guanella Pass on Saturday morning.

In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office said they are investigating in the area of milepost 15 on Guanella Pass Road. As of 11:35 a.m., officers are searching the area of Naylor Lake and Silver Dollar Lake Trail.

According to reporting from FOX31, there was a male suspect with a weapon repotted in the area.

The sheriff’s office is asking visitors to avoid the area while they conduct their search.
