Defensive lineman Jordan Jackson active for Broncos over rookie Sai’vion Jones
PHILADELPHIA – Rookie defensive lineman Sai’vion Jones was inactive for Sunday’s game against the Eagles after having been active for the Broncos’ previous game.
The Broncos opted to go with Jones over veteran Jordan Jackson in last Monday’s 28-3 win over Cincinnati. However, it was Jackson, an Air Force graduate, who got the call at Philadelphia over Jones.
In addition to Jones, also inactive for the Broncos for the game at Lincoln Financial Field were running back Jaleel McLaughlin, rookie outside linebacker Que Robinson, tackle Frank Crum, and Sam Ehlinger, the emergency third quarterback.
McLaughlin was inactive for the fifth time in five games. McLaughlin has been inactive all season in favor of Tyler Badie as the No. 3 running back behind starter J.K. Dobbins and rookie RJ Harvey.
McLaughlin, who was signed as an undrafted rookie in 2023 and rushed for 906 yards in his first two seasons, told The Denver Gazette last week that he’s “working harder” and “there’s going to be better days when I come back” to being active.
Inactive for the Eagles were cornerback Mac McWilliams, offensive lineman Drew Kendall, wide receiver Xavier Gipson and Sam Howell, the emergency third quarterback.
