Everything with Colorado women’s basketball will run through Jade Masogayo.
The Big 12 knows it.
Colorado’s leading scorer at 12.5 points per game last season, Masogayo was named to the 10-player preseason All-Big 12 women’s preseason team Thursday. The Fort Worth product started all 33 games for the Buffs last season, shooting 59.9%, which ranked 12th in Division I basketball.
Masogayo, a senior forward, scored in double figures in 24 games and earned all-conference honorable mention honors.
The Buffs in the preseason poll were picked to finish ninth in the league. TCU was picked to win it.
Colorado has 10 newcomers on its roster, including five transfers. CU opens the season at home against New Mexico on Nov. 6.
